Questions about the calendar

Can I change the custody schedule after setting it up?

Yes. The schedule is a repeating pattern you can adjust, and one-off changes are recorded as exceptions, so you never have to rebuild a whole pattern for a single swapped weekend.

How do holidays work?

Holidays and vacations are recorded as exceptions on top of your normal custody pattern. The regular rhythm resumes automatically once the exception period ends.

Do both parents see the same calendar?

Yes, and that is the point. Every parent in the family sees the same schedule, the same events and the same changes, so there is no “my version” and “your version”.

Can I link an expense to an event?

Yes. A cost from Cofamly Split and a thread from Cofamly Messages can both be attached to an event, so the trip, the money and the discussion stay together.

How many parents can share custody on one calendar?

Up to 8 parents can hold custody of the same child in Cofamly, which is what makes blended and multi-household families workable on a single schedule instead of several separate ones.

Can I keep some events private?

Yes. One-time or recurring private events are visible only to you, alongside the shared family schedule everyone else sees.

Can I see just one child's schedule?

Yes. The calendar can be filtered by child, so you can look at one child's events on their own rather than the whole family's at once.

Does the calendar work for blended families?

Yes. A Cofamly account can be part of up to five families, and up to 8 parents can share custody of one child, so a child moving between more than two households is still on one calendar.

Can I sync Cofamly Calendar with Google Calendar or another calendar app?

Not yet. Cofamly Calendar works as its own shared calendar between parents — syncing with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook isn't supported today, even though it's one of the things we hear requested most.
